The project aims to enhance the primary education of the local community in order to increase the literacy level in the target school areas.

  • Objectives/Purpose of year 1: To intervene in education by supporting 5 community schools in Cambodia in the year 2021 – 2022

    Result: At least 1500 students and 50 teachers will be directly supported in terms of strengthening the capacity, education quality, and basic healthcare in their schools. The sustainability of the results of this one-year project is that at least 50 teachers will have improved teaching delivery skills and capacity to benefit all their students in the target schools, even after the project ends.

  • Outcome 1. Improved access to quality education for +1,500 pupils in 5 schools. Output 1.1. Distance learning systems introduced for the student's Output 1.2. School staff and teachers are trained. Output 1.3. Children received stipends to support their education.

  • Outcome 2. Improved physical and mental well-being for +1,500 students, their families, and teachers. Output 2.1. Renovated necessary WASH and educational environment facilities as per the need assessment. Output 2.2. Development of extracurricular activities (ECA) and school clubs in STEM. Output 2.3. Medical, dental, and eye tests are conducted for all teachers, students, and interested guardians.

Cambodia Education Support Project

Life Steps Organization (LSO) has been always supportive to the government of Cambodia since 2007, and in 2021, signed a project agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youths and Sports (MoEYS) for supporting secondary and high schooling in Cambodia for the next three years with a pilot in 5 schools at Phnom Penh suburb area in the year 1: 2021 – 2022 very especially during the time reopening of face2face school from the challenging COVID19 global pandemic and scale-up to 20 schools in provinces in year 2023 and 2024.


In the first year, LSO has confirmed funding from Muslim Aid-UK to support five schools for strengthening capacity, education quality, and basic healthcare as follows: 1. Improvement of Distance learning systems in the target schools, 2. School teachers are trained in online and offline teaching methods. 3. Children from poor/COVID economic impacted families receive stipends to continue their studies; 4. Renovate necessary WASH and other facilities to be fit for school opening, if possible. 5. Development of extracurricular activities (ECA), study materials, and school clubs on STEM. 6. Primary medical, dental, and eye tests for all teachers, students, and interested guardians.
