LSO has generously donated a hundred books to Samdech Preah Mahasangharajah Bour Kry University (SBKU)

PHNOM PENH — In an inspiring gesture of support for higher education and human resource development, Life Step Organization (LSO) has generously donated 100 books to Samdech Preah Mahasangharajah Bour Kry University (SBKU).

The book donation took place during SBKU's landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The event marked a major milestone as SBKU forged strong bridges in higher education, sustainable tourism, and international cooperation.

The ceremony centered around the theme "Strengthening Cambodia-Bangladesh Cooperation through Education, Tourism and Culture," establishing key partnerships between SBKU, SOPHIYA Cambodia Travel & Tours, and the Honorary Consulate of Bangladesh in Cambodia.

The event brought together distinguished national and international leaders, including:

  • H.E. Noun Someth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, representing H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism.

  • H.E. Dr. Un Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

  • Lok Chumteav Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear, Founder of SOPHIYA Cambodia Travel & Tours and Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Cambodia.

  • His Eminence Samdech Vong Aneta, Founder & Rector of SBKU.

  • H.E. Dr. Dararith Eric, Vice President of SBKU.

  • Representatives from diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce, and the Bangladesh community in Cambodia.

The dual MOU agreements aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry experience by offering students practical training, internships, research opportunities, and skills development in hospitality and sustainable tourism. Furthermore, the partnership creates a foundation for academic exchanges, cultural programs, and youth development between Cambodia and Bangladesh.

Investing in the Next Generation

To complement these forward-looking partnerships, LSO contributed 100 essential learning books to SBKU’s modern international campus.

At LSO, we believe that education is the ultimate foundation for sustainable growth. By providing these educational resources, LSO aims to foster a culture of reading, spark innovation, and empower students to contribute meaningfully to the future development of Cambodia.

LSO extends its deepest gratitude to SBKU, H.E. Nuon Someth, Lok Chumteav Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear, H.E. Dr. Dararith Eric, and all distinguished guests for their dedication to building a brighter, knowledge-driven future for young scholars
